an old Chinese vocabulary, meaning “resonance of the environment”
For a person believing in the existence of a higher being and the environment witnessing every action, s/he would choose the actions of good intentions which the witnessing environment would approve by resonance (of course, non-believers will never feel any resonance).
This may have some similarity to divine inspiration in the western culture (?)
天 = sky, 地 = ground => 天地 = environment ; 呼應 = resonate
